A notable feature of this application is “Voice Navigation,” which enables users to locate specific passages simply by speaking the reference aloud. This functionality relies on speech recognition through Apple Servers, translating spoken commands into text, allowing for rapid retrieval of verses such as “Psalms 50:1” or “2 Corinthians 12:9,” with results displayed almost instantaneously. This feature facilitates seamless integration with live teaching or personal study, minimizing disruptions caused by manual searching.

The app also offers an advanced Search Module that allows users to conduct full-text searches across the entire Bible or within specific sections, such as the Old Testament, New Testament, Major Prophets, Pauline Epistles, Poetry and Wisdom Literature, Gospels, and Revelation. This targeted approach enhances the efficiency of textual exploration and study.

The Word Speaks is available in multiple configurations:

• Free Basic Module: Includes core features such as reading, navigating, and searching biblical texts. Voice Navigation is integrated within this package. Supported translations encompass the King James Version (KJV), American Standard Version (ASV), Easy-to-Read Version (ERV), and Young's Literal Translation (YLT).
• Premium Module: Adds the Journal Module, allowing users to record prayers, Bible lessons, sermon notes, personal reflections, and conversations with God. Users can create and share multiple journal entries, export them as PDF or Microsoft Word documents, and back up their data. This module includes an extended Scripture Selector feature for selecting multiple verses within a chapter—ideal for detailed study or sermon preparation. The Premium subscription grants access to all future modules (excluding additional Bible translations) for as long as subscription is active, with available monthly or annual plans accompanied by a free two-week trial for new subscribers.

Subscriptions are managed directly through the app via an auto-renewing system, with pricing subject to regional variation and initial confirmation prior to purchase. All payments are processed through the user's iTunes account and can be managed under Account Settings. Subscribers retain control to cancel auto-renewal at any time at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

The Journaling Module can also be purchased separately as a one-time in-app purchase. This standalone feature encompasses all journaling functionalities described above.
